A couple of weeks ago I brought our (almost) 4-year-old son on his first trip to Dinosaur World. He just became a big brother, and I thought this would be a nice day trip to bring just him on. With the new Chisholm Trail Tollway the drive to Dinosaur World is just a quick hour drive from DFW. We had such a great time!
Henry spent a couple of fun filled hours checking out all the dinosaurs, sifting for gems, and hunting for fossils. I think his was genuinely amazed at the size of the dinosaurs. These aren’t tiny little lizards, that’s for sure.
While walking through their outdoor trail (fairly shaded) it was great to hear all the different kids reacting to each dino. I saw a lot of older brothers teaching their little brother or sister about each dinosaur. I heard lots of “wows!” and “look at that!” It’s great to see kids have fun while learning.
We ended our trip with a few minutes at the playground and picking a few things out from their amazingly fair prices gift shop. It was a great time and I’m sure we’ll be back in the fall!
Tips: Pack a backpack with some water. With the sun it can get a little warm on the walk. The trails are all paved with cement, so bring that stroller if you have one! Don’t forget your camera. There are lots of great photo ops!
Here are some more photos from our adventure!
Check it out DFW! It’s a cool place to go.
