#CatchTheMoment365 linkup – week 3

Here we are, already at week 3! I’ve really enjoyed sharing these with everyone. I hope at least a few of you get as much of a smile and giggle from my photos as I do from yours.

Enjoy!

{17 of 365} – West, Texas

On Friday I had a 10 hour business road trip to make with a few co-workers. We had a great time and I do believe our meeting went really well. On our way back we made a few stops. Whenever you drive through West everyone says you need to stop for the kolaches. I never have, so we finally did. They were delicious. I’ll be sure to stop again.

{18 of 365} – “Watch out cookie!”

While in West I picked up Henry a teddy bear cookie. I had to laugh when he held it, inspected it, smiled, looked in its little cinnamon heart eyes and said, “watch out cookie” right before he bit its arm off.

{19 of 365} – Leap frog

We got to visit the Perot Museum over the weekend for a friend’s birthday party. Henry had a lot of fun jumping on and over the big frogs they had outside.

{20 of 365} – Go Red Sox!

Like every other Patriots fan, on Monday we all broke out our Red Sox gear.

{21 of 365} – He’s standing!

Henry finally got the hang of how to walk on the ice during his third week of skating lessons. It was so much fun to watch him try to skate around. Much more entertaining than watching all the crawling he was doing the week before.

{22 365} – His Pipe

This is a close up from a painting I have that my great-grandfather painted. It’s a little beat up, but it’s my favorite piece of art I’ve ever had. I love seeing the name ‘Lovering’ in the corner. The pipe always reminds me of his son who smoked a pipe all through my childhood.

{23 of 365} – We’re baaaack

I think I just need to schedule a weekly appoint for Max with our vet. He’s doing better, but the poor old man is just having a tough time adjusting to all the new meds he’s on after having some seizures. Now he has some cough that apparently is from dirty teeth. I miss how healthy younger dogs are. He’s worth it though!

January 23, 2014

That was my week! Again I had a few more iPhone photos than I was looking for, but I am giving myself a bit of slack since life has been pretty crazy with the house going through showings, offers, inspections and all that fun stuff. This weekend I will be using the real camera!

Until next week.

  1. Who doesn’t love West?! Gotta stop whenever I’m in the area! That is pretty awesome to have that painting! Hold onto that one! My grandfather smoked a pipe all thru my childhood too. I love the smell – reminds me of him.

  2. Watch out cookie! That is so funny! And a great pic too. 🙂 I really like the pipe painting and the story with it. And I’m sorry your doggie Max is having health issues. It’s so hard when they get older. Wishing him and you a lot of luck that things smooth out for him. He’s a beautiful dog.
