Never underestimate the power of a hand-me-down

My coworker’s son had outgrown his Matchbox and Hot Wheels and they were looking for a new home for them. She reached out to see if Henry would possibly be interested. Apparently I hadn’t bent her ear about his (serious) vehicle obsession yet. After quickly saying yes, I explained how much this was about to rock our 3 year old’s mind.

We knew it had to be hard for her son to let go of the cars. Let’s face it, really no guys like to get rid of their toys, especially toys with wheels. We decided to wait to give them to him on evening I could line them up and take a video of him. As you can see, they were a hit! He even got up in the middle of the night to make sure they were still there.

In the end, a simple hand-me-down made a 3 year old very happy and taught and young man how happy he could make someone by sharing things he no longer used.
